Bison Boneless Ribeye

Bison steaks tastes like beef, but are lean, flavor-packed, and arguably more healthy for you. All meat that we sell is Grass-Fed and Pasture-Raised by us at Farm Creek Meats and is butchered by our staff in our own USDA inspected Abbatoir. What sets us apart from any other meat on the market is that our meat never leaves our custody until we ship it to your doorstep. We are the cowboy butchers.

Here’s a basic recipe for cooking a boneless ribeye steak:


– 1 boneless ribeye steak, 1 inch thick

– Salt and pepper to taste

– 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil or cooking spray


1. Remove the steak from the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes.

2. Preheat the oven to 400°F (204°C).

3. Season the steak generously on both sides with salt and pepper.

4. Heat a large, heavy skillet (preferably cast iron) over high heat for about 2-3 minutes.

5. Add the vegetable oil or spray the skillet with cooking spray.

6. Sear the steak on the skillet for about 3-4 minutes on each side until a crust forms on the surface.

7. Transfer the skillet with the steak to the preheated oven and cook for about 5-7 minutes for medium-rare, or until a meat thermometer reads an internal temperature of 135°F (57°C) for medium-rare. Adjust time according to preference.

8. Remove the skillet from the oven and let the steak rest for about 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
